We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to support the design and documentation of utility and telecommunications infrastructure projects. In this role, you will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and layouts for underground and overhead utility systems, fiber optic networks, and telecom site development. You'll collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure drawings meet project specifications, regulatory standards, and client expectations.

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for utility and telecom projects, including conduit layouts, pole placements, fiber routes, and site plans.
Interpret engineering sketches, field notes, and specifications to produce accurate construction documents.
Assist in the development of permit drawings and utility coordination packages.
Update and revise drawings based on redlines, field changes, and client feedback.
Maintain organized drawing files and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with engineers, designers, and field personnel to ensure drawing accuracy and constructability.
Ensure compliance with local codes, utility standards, and telecom provider requirements.
Support GIS integration and mapping efforts when applicable.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience is a plus).
Understanding of utility and telecom infrastructure, including underground and aerial systems.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, utility maps, and technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
1–3 years of drafting experience in utility or telecom projects.
Familiarity with permitting processes and utility coordination.
Experience with GIS platforms or telecom-specific design tools.
Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
