Outsourcing Field And Sales Marketing Business Development Manager (FMCG, Retail)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a commercially driven and market-savvy professional to lead sales growth while acting as a subject matter expert across trade marketing, shopper activation, and category development. This role requires an experience in large-scale retail environments and multi-channel sales supported by a network of contacts facilitating the acquisition of new clients for outsourcing solutions.

Target sector/industry: FMCG, Retail

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales of outsourcing solution across multiple channels, ensuring consistent business growth
  • Act as a subject matter expert in trade marketing, shopper activation and category management
  • Lead business development initiatives, identifying and unlocking new growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and stakeholders
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to generate actionable insights
  • Work across multiple sales channels (modern trade, traditional trade, HoReCa, events, e-commerce)
  • Monitor and manage budgets with strong P&L understanding
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and sales effectiveness
  • Leverage strong networking and industry connections to support business growth

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in large organizations in different commercial roles (10+ years)
  • Strong background in: Trade Marketing, Shopper & Brand Activation, Category Management, Business / Channel Development, working with the agencies, Suppliers contracting
  • Deep exposure to large retail environments and understanding of retail processes
  • Track record of delivering sales growth and execution excellence
  • Solid P&L understanding and financial acumen
  • Experience working across multiple sales channels
  • Excellent networking, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Sales Execution: Proven ability to consistently deliver sales targets and drive growth.
  • Trade Marketing & Shopper Activation Expertise: Deep hands-on experience in designing and executing impactful in-store and shopper activities
  • Retail Expertise: Knowledge of retail environments, customer behavior and category dynamics, especially within large FMCG organizations.
  • Strategic Thinking with Operational Excellence: Ability to develop clear strategies while also ensuring strong, hands-on execution in the market.
  • Commercial Acumen & P&L Ownership: Strong understanding of revenue, margins, and profitability with the ability to make financially sound decisions.
