Associate Director - Design Management

This role will be responsible for leading and managing the design of civil infrastructure works across medium to large scale development projects in Middle East. This includes managing multidisciplinary design teams, coordinating with stakeholders and authorities, and ensuring timely delivery of design packages.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing the infrastructure design across all project stages (from master planning to IFC stage).
• Coordinating with master planners, architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure integrated infrastructure solutions. Leading and driving the coordination amongst the stakeholders.
• Reviewing, monitoring, and managing the design deliverables of internal teams and/or subconsultants for roads, utilities (water, wastewater, power, ICT), structures, marine and public realm infrastructure.
• Having a good understanding of engineering disciplines involved in infrastructure design covering utility networks, pump stations, process plants, roads, bridges and other structures.
• Ensuring compliance with local authority regulations (e.g., MOMRAH, NWC, SEC, SWCC, Royal Commissions etc.) and applicable international standards.
• Managing design schedules, deliverables, risk, and interface coordination with multiple stakeholders, including the client and contractors.
• Participating in design reviews and value engineering workshops. Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior staff and discipline engineers.
• Interfacing with project controls and commercial teams to ensure design progress aligns with program and budget.
• Supporting permitting, approvals, and coordination with local authorities. Ensuring design is aligned with sustainability, resilience, and digital infrastructure goals (where applicable).
• Ability to liaise with client representatives and discuss engineering solutions in detail as required.

Minimum requirements include:

• Minimum 15 years experience in Infrastructure Design.
• Experience in large scale projects ideally in KSA.
• Chartered Status / Professionally recognized.
• Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills
