AECOM is seeking an experienced and dedicated Program Manager / NJ BD Growth Lead to join our team in New York Metro B+P Business Line. This role centers on building and nurturing long-term client relationships, understanding client needs, and driving account growth through exceptional service delivery and strategic partnership. The expectations for the role include three components. Program and Project Management, Business Development Growth Lead, and CAM for our NJ based clients.
Program and Project Manager:
· As a program manager, be responsible for coordinating delivery across a portfolio of projects to achieve strategic business objectives, focusing on stakeholder management, program governance, benefits and risk management.
· As a leader of project teams, take accountability for all delivery aspects to a client or portfolio of clients, planning and overseeing activities and resolving complex issues.
B+P Business Development Growth Lead (Primarily NJ focus):
· Will provide business development focused on growing a market sector, managing client accounts to achieve strong commercial outcomes, sales capture or major bid management.
· Develop and implement a strategy and growth plan for a client, region or sector of AECOM's business.
· Have lasting, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders and clients, resulting in a pipeline of new and repeat business.
· Analyzes complex issues and is accountable for solving challenge problems.
· Internal subject matter expert on specific processes ie. stakeholder engagement, government affairs, federal, state and local funding, advancing energy and sustainability planning, procurement and master planning.
· B+P Cross Business Line Lead with broad knowledge of growth targets for the northeast region for all markets: water, environment, energy, and transportation. Engages with technical project teams within strategic growth markets i.e. energy for confirming technical approach and review of deliverables.
· Contributes on a regular basis to industry on thought leadership through speaking events, publications, and social media.
· Deliver effective communication inclusive of clients and team members to clarify new opportunities, goals and requirements.
Client Account Manager:
· The primary contacts for AECOM's relationships with accounts which are strategically important at a regional, business line or global level. They have responsibility for developing, growing and sustaining our business with their client(s), working across our company to offer solutions that deliver, using all our relevant capabilities and local and global expertise. Bringing the best of AECOM to the client, on time, every time.
Responsibilities:
· Serve as the primary point of contact between our organization and the Government Clients, fostering a strong and collaborative partnership.
· Develop an in-depth understanding of the Government Clients objectives, initiatives, and challenges to provide tailored solutions and services.
· Manage the successful delivery of projects by coordinating with the Technical Delivery teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
· Identify opportunities for expanding the scope of services offered to the Department and collaborate with Market Sector Leads to develop proposals.
· Represent the organization and maintain relationships with key clients, regulatory bodies, municipalities, and agencies in New Jersey.
· Lead efforts in client retention, satisfaction, and long-term engagement.
· Collaborate across disciplines and business lines to deliver integrated solutions that support client goals.
· Mentor and support team development resulting in retention and internal promotion
Minimum Requirements:
· BA/BS in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field.
· 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including leadership experience.
· Proven experience in Client Account Management.
· Well-established network of contacts within New Jersey state and local government agencies and public sector entities.
· Demonstrated ability to manage through influence in a matrixed or team-based environment.
Preferred Requirements:
· 12 Years related experience.
-Experience in organizational development, client service management, program management, design, construction management, and/or business development for transportation projects.
· Experience interfacing with state and local jurisdictions, especially NJ infrastructure projects.
· Recognized leader in developing and nurturing relationships with key clients.
· A team-oriented individual that can work with operations, project and marketing staff of all levels.
· Ability to collaborate across disciplines and business lines for integrated delivery and growth.
· Travel will be required for this position.
