Streetlight and Traffic Signals Designer

AECOM Mississauga is looking for a Streetlight and Traffic Signals Designer. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Design of traffic signals and illumination for various clients
• Preparation of lighting and traffic signal layouts
• Preparation of wiring diagrams and electrical details
• Photometric analysis of lighting systems
• Voltage drop calculations
• Preparation of contract documents and specifications
• Site visits and contract administration

Minimum Requirements:

• Technical Diploma/Certificate + 4 years of relevant experience in street lighting and traffic signals design
• 4 years experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Ministry of Transportation Ontario street lighting and traffic signal design assignments including experience with high mast lighting design.
• Experience with Ministry of Transportation Ontario Contract Preparation System
• Knowledge of AutoLUX or AGI32
• Good verbal and written communication in English
