The company offers a complete line of propulsion products for launch vehicles, missile defense, tactical and advanced hypersonic propulsion.
This Engineering Services Design position will focus on component and system design of composite cases for Solid Propulsion Systems. Expected to be an intermediate professional with practical knowledge of design concepts and CAD. A basic understanding of modeling practice and drawing layout. Capable of supporting multiple design activities. Under moderate supervision, investigates and supports recommendations for design factors such as ease of manufacture, inspect-ability, availability of materials and equipment, strength-weight efficiency, contractual specification requirements and cost requirements. Performs mathematical calculations and tolerance analysis per engineering specifications. Supports alternative design solutions to problems and obstacles. May support checking of engineering product definition for compliance and conformity to established company standards, specifications, and design directives.
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior Mechanical Design experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Mechanical Design experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Mechanical Design experience.
