Main responsibilities:

  • Champion the needs of customers, merchants, vendors, business teams, and stakeholders throughout the development process, ensuring that what is delivered meets the original goals and objectives of the project. Ability to operate in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity and provide solid recommendations.
  • Identify unmet user needs and develops possible feature/functionality concepts that meet those needs.
  • Develop supporting business case, including financial impact and benefits statements, to support new functionality concepts and new features, and sell the concepts to internal audiences through persuasive oral and written presentations.
  • Gather input from a variety of internal and external sources to define product concepts; responds to the needs of users throughout the development process; analyzes competitors and market trends; evaluates technologies; develops detailed requirements, feature definitions, implementation plans, and internal communications.
  • Participate & lead as needed in cross-functional teams during the entire lifecycle of product development, including deployment and post-deployment activities.
  • Effectively influences and collaborates with others, presenting and securing approval from senior management and other key stakeholders, as necessary.
  • Responsible for communicating product solutions and benefits to customers and stakeholders; including knowledge transfer and training for on-going management of features.
  • Build intelligent capability and feature roadmaps using research, data, business context and learnings as input.
  • Be recognized as an expert - someone who has excellent judgment and whose projects have contributed significantly to the success of the organization.
  • Outstanding UX collaborator who can work in partnership with UX to define and co-create customer experience that solve customer needs and bring desirable outcomes for business.
  • Write user stories as a part of the product development lifecycle that: directly support primary objectives of the project, are appropriate in size for iterative development, include clear and specific acceptance criteria, consider dependencies on other stories and/or projects & initiatives.
  • Partner with merchants and CPG teams to evaluate allowances, costs, promotions, and display/space plans, ensuring strategies are grounded in real trade practices.
  • Use Circana, Nielsen, Symphony, and retailer monetization platforms to curate market trends, develop hypotheses, and test strategies for price, promo, and display planning.
  • Monitor performance against goals such as trade ROI, sales lift, basket mix, and profitability, sharing insights back to stakeholders.
  • Responsible for communicating product solutions and benefits to customers and stakeholders; including knowledge transfer and training for on-going management of features.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Operations Research, Computer Science, Management Science, Business Administration. MBA or master's in operations research/computer science/management science strongly preferred. 7+ Years experience in Product Management with proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and managing the software development process to build core supply chain systems and applications used by internal / external users. Prior experience in Product Management or Business role in merchandising, trade promotions, category management, or CPG commercial strategy, with direct involvement in allowance, cost, and promotional planning, strongly preferred. Pricing & Trade Promotion Strategy, CPG & Retail Merchandising Expertise, Data Analysis & Hypothesis Development, Cross-functional Engagement (Merchants, CPGs, Technical Teams).

Demonstrates strategic thinking capabilities to align their team's product strategies with corporate vision to drive strategy planning, prioritization, and execution to deliver best-in-class customer experience and unlock business impact.

Strong technical acumen and understanding of (1) how APIs work, APIs facilitates communication between systems, and API structure. (2) platforms like Azure/AWS, used for building and scaling apps. (3) tools like Git for version control and collaboration on code within development teams. (4) backend data structure & observability. (5) agile software building methodologies.

Fluent and proven track record in making data-driven decisions to invest in the right concepts, capabilities, features, and enhancements. (1) demonstrates the ability to create custom metrics based on the problems/impact we are trying to solve. This goes beyond the basic usage and adoption into metrics like conversion rates and product search efficiencies. (2) Ability to ask the right investigative questions and doesn't accept data at face value. Able to analyze trends, identify anomalies, and ask the right questions to uncover deeper insights. "Why is there a drop in usage on Tuesdays?" or "Why are customers looking up product location on a map for items they buy frequently like eggs?" (3) Experience in defining, implementing, measuring, and managing user analytics tracking systems in tools like adobe, content square. (4) Experience analyzing data from various sources like user behavior on adobe, A/B tests, market research, and operational metrics to inform product roadmap decisions and feature prioritization. A strong foundation in basic statistics like hypothesis testing and p-values to interpret data with more confidence. (5) ability to utilize basic SQL queries to gather data and utilize excel to analyze large data sets. (6) demonstrates capability to communicate and explain findings in a clear and concise way using visuals and key findings with both technical and business stakeholders.

Experience and demonstrated success in using a User Centric Approach by leveraging surveys, interviews, research, internal data & insights, and market insights to identify customer needs and pain points. Ability to work with UX teams to co-create experiences, prioritize key functionalities, and make informed decisions about design choices that allows to test quickly, learn, and iterate.

The salary range is $144,760 to $188,188 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
