User Experience Design Lead
In this role, you will lead the user experience design efforts for the credit unions' digital channels. Responsible for user research, interaction design, and usability testing of our features and products. Shape the overall user experience strategy and provide guidance to the design team, while partnering with product managers, software engineers and quality assurance engineers to build innovative financial solutions for members.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction for the user experience, aligning design decisions with business goals. Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define and refine the product vision.
- Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Develop member journey maps to guide design decisions.
- Define and implement information architecture and design systems for complex digital ecosystems. Contribute to the development and maintenance of established design systems to ensure consistency across products.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes and design mockups to communicate and test design concepts. Lead the development of interactive and dynamic interfaces that enhance user engagement.
- Plan and oversee usability testing sessions, interpreting results to inform design improvements. Provide guidance to designers in conducting effective usability testing and iterating designs based on feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide design leadership throughout the product development lifecycle. Communicate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
- Guide junior designers, foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture. Contribute to the development of the design team through knowledge-sharing and skill-building initiatives.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree - UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field- Minimum
- Graduate Degree - UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field- Preferred
Years of Experience:
- 6 Years - UX Design or related - Minimum
In Lieu of Education:
- 8 Years - UX Design or Related
Compensation & Benefits:
Typical hiring range: $99,200 - $140,100 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined using factors such as experience, skills & knowledge.
