Instructional Designer
The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing engaging learning experiences and knowledge solutions. This role combines pedagogical expertise, creativity, and technical skills to create impactful learning journeys for diverse audiences. The Instructional Designer collaborates with subject matter experts, learning teams, and stakeholders to ensure that all learning solutions are aligned with organizational strategy, meet quality standards, and support continuous improvement.
In this role you'll:
- Design and develop learning experiences for digital platforms (e-learning, blended learning, video, practices), ensuring content is relevant, accurate, and learner-centric.
- Work closely with learning design managers, instructional developers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to design solutions that address business needs and learner requirements.
- Monitor the application of the ADDIE model in a fast paced environment, delegate and monitor tasks, and assist with establishing project timelines to ensure project completion.
- Collaborate with Learning Innovation and Framework team to ensure good practice and consistency of all learning content regardless of format.
- Gather and analyze learner and stakeholder feedback to inform improvements and ensure learning solutions remain effective and relevant.
- Stay current with advancements in instructional design, adult learning theory, and digital learning technologies.
About the ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design/Development, Educational Technology or a related field.
- Equivalent experience in instructional design and learning development will be considered.
- Experience in designing and developing digital learning solutions (e-learning, video, blended learning).
- Familiarity with authoring tools (Articulate Storyline), learning management systems (LMS) and content management systems (CMS)
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
- Knowledge of pedagogical best practices and adult learning principles.
- Customer-centric, services-oriented individual.
- Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design and Adult Learning Theory is a plus.
- Able to leverage personal knowledge and experience to contribute to internal projects.
- Communication - excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Write clear and well-structured project documentation and storyboards.
- Open to work in a hybrid set-up.
