Color Designer

We are seeking a Color Designer for a contract role focused on capability building and project support. This position involves working with the Kids & Core Color & Materials Design team. The ideal candidate will create strategic color designs for footwear, targeting the CORE consumer who values quality and long-term usage over seasonal trends. A portfolio is required for consideration.

Location: Beaverton, Oregon (Hybrid, onsite Monday-Thursdays and can work remotely from home on Fridays)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategic color designs for footwear with a focus on longevity, not seasonal palettes.
• Create offerings based on established color lines.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the consumer and their interaction with the product.
• Use clear inspiration sources to tell a story through color design that serves the target consumer.
• Incorporate feedback from partners and stakeholders into design iterations.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in color design for footwear is required.

Skills: Applicants must have proficiency in strategic color design, an understanding of consumer storytelling, and the ability to articulate their part in the design process. Submission of a portfolio is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with our organization or in a similar industry role.
• Experience working with enterprise-level retailers.
• Ability to draw color inspiration from clear sources and relate it to the consumer.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $30.00 and $40.66 per hour. Actual compensation is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's skills, experience, and location. Information on benefits is available to eligible employees.
