Product Analyst
The Senior Product Analyst is responsible for enabling intelligent business decisions by designing and delivering robust analytics solutions that blend business acumen, advanced analytics, and technical architecture. This role acts as the strategic insight accelerator for the Digital Cabin product, operating as the analytical "brain" of the product triad by transforming raw data into actionable insights that directly influence product strategy and roadmaps.
This is a hands-on, investigative role requiring deep engagement with data in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Central Analytics teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong business partnerships by conducting stakeholder interviews and translating business needs into intelligent, scalable analytics solutions.
- Own the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of metrics, dashboards, reports, analyses, and end-user tools that drive key business decisions.
- Perform deep-dive analysis of complex business problems and ambiguous data sets to uncover root causes, patterns, and improvement opportunities.
- Design and structure analytical datasets directly from raw telemetry using advanced SQL in BigQuery, creating analytical sandboxes without dependency on central pipelines.
- Leverage advanced visualization and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Dash Enterprise) to deliver intuitive, high-impact insights.
- Define and implement new KPIs, metrics, and analytical techniques to improve metric consistency, insight quality, and end-user adoption.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize analytics tools, methodologies, and workflows for improved efficiency and scalability.
- Translate business concepts into clearly defined analytical logic and documentation (e.g., defining engagement, active sessions, retention).
- Act as a bridge between Product, Engineering, and Central Analytics teams—prototyping insights while enabling long-term production pipelines.
Required Skills & Experience
- Advanced SQL proficiency, including window functions, CTEs, joins, and nested data structures.
- Strong experience designing analytics solutions that support product and business decision-making.
- Ability to conduct exploratory, investigative analysis in ambiguous and evolving data environments.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in analytics, product analytics, or a related field (Senior Specialist level).
- Strong experience within the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem, specifically BigQuery.
- Product analytics focus with experience analyzing user behavior, including retention, churn, engagement, funnels, and MAU/DAU (not limited to financial or operational reporting).
- "Full-stack" analytics capability—comfortably bridging Product, Engineering, and Analytics without reliance on a centralized data team for routine insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, R, or similar analytical programming languages.
- Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool).
- Experience with event-based analytics platforms such as Amplitude.
- Background supporting digital products or subscription-based business models.
- Master's degree preferred.
