Product Designer 3

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Product Designer to place at our client, a multinational technology corporation.

The primary function of a Product Designer is to design, develop, and implement applications using general languages and technologies to support business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Provide production support using templates and layouts based on specifications from the design lead.
• May assist with presentation development.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of UX principles, including web and mobile interaction patterns.
• Solid visual/UI design skills.
• Ability to articulate and present deep knowledge of design fundamentals: color, typography, layout, and brand.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to perform under tight deadlines.
• Capable of understanding technical issues and communicating effectively.
• Proficiency in current and emerging web technologies and standard design software (e.g., Figma)
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Portfolio link must be included in the resume

Top 3 Must-Haves:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience using Figma
• Minimum 1 year experience with Adobe tools
• Minimum 1 year of experience with AI tools
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in prototyping
• Portfolios are required upon submission and should include 3–5 projects.

Typical Task Breakdown:

• 35% meetings (partner and design collaboration meetings)
• 15% research and story development
• 25% supporting designs
• 25% leading design efforts

Other:

• Interview schedule: September 22nd and 23rd
• One to two rounds of interviews (30-60 minutes)
• Includes portfolio walk-through (3+ projects) and experience discussion.
