Product Manager (Contractor)
We are seeking a Product Manager (contractor) to support an Account Security team within a broader Client Trust organization. In this role, you will help deliver secure, scalable, and frictionless login and account creation experiences across high-traffic consumer digital platforms, while protecting user trust and brand integrity.
You will work closely with engineering, UX, cybersecurity, fraud, customer support, loyalty, and business partners to drive initiatives related to modern authentication and identity protection—including passkeys, MFA, OTP, and passwordless login methods.
This role sits within a high-ambiguity, AI-native product environment. It is best suited for a product builder who is comfortable operating with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., AI coding agents, copilots, and automation tools) as part of day-to-day delivery. While this is not an AI engineering role, the ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, and effective partnering with both human engineers and AI-augmented systems to accelerate product outcomes.
The position spans both digital and in-store supported experiences and demands strong judgment in balancing security, customer experience, and operational risk.
Responsibilities
- Support execution of the Account Security product roadmap, with a focus on login, account creation, and identity verification experiences.
- Drive requirements from concept through launch in collaboration with internal engineering teams, external vendors, and AI-assisted development tools or coding agents.
- Contribute to initiatives involving modern authentication technologies, including:
- Passkeys and passwordless login
- Multi-factor / two-factor authentication
- OTP-based phone or email login
- Translate loosely defined problems into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria—often in environments where AI tools assist with implementation and iteration.
- Partner closely with Cybersecurity, Fraud, Legal, Privacy, and Risk teams to ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and data protection standards.
- Identify friction points, abuse vectors, and risk signals across web, mobile app, and in-store supported experiences.
- Maintain a healthy, groomed backlog of Account Security-related enhancements and technical initiatives.
- Engage in technical discussions with Engineering, Architecture, vendors, and AI agents to unblock delivery and inform product decisions.
- Create, document, and evolve lightweight processes, templates, and operating norms to enable consistent delivery in a fast-moving, AI-augmented environment.
- Drive incremental product improvements informed by data, experimentation, and customer signals.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, adjusting priorities and approaches as business needs and technologies evolve.
- Collaborate with external technology and security partners (e.g., identity, fraud, and authentication providers).
Requirements
- Strong curiosity about how authentication, identity, and security systems operate at scale.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity without heavy process or oversight.
- Comfort collaborating in AI-augmented product and engineering environments, including working alongside AI coding agents, copilots, or automation tools (no AI engineering expertise required).
- Ability to balance customer experience, security requirements, technical constraints, and delivery velocity.
- Clear and effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptable, nimble, and excited by evolving problem spaces and emerging development models.
Minimum Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 3–5 years of experience in Product Management or a closely related role.
- Experience delivering features for large-scale consumer, ecommerce, or digital platforms.
- Hands-on experience with authentication, identity, or account-related product capabilities.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery models and modern tooling (e.g., JIRA, GitHub, AI copilots or agent-based tools).
- Experience supporting high-traffic websites or mobile applications preferred.
- Exposure to fraud, abuse, or risk mitigation is a plus.
