The Project Manager, Marketing & Communications supports the planning, execution, and delivery of marketing and communications projects across design, copy, and video teams. This role serves as the primary project management partner for assigned service line and enterprise initiatives, ensuring work is clearly scoped, efficiently routed, and delivered on time while adhering to established processes. This position provides day-to-day project support for multiple internal marketing portfolios, with a strong focus on high-volume and quick-turn requests such as email campaigns, video conversions, proofreading, corporate production requests, online store requests, and minor content revisions. The Project Manager plays a critical role in coordinating cross-functional teammates, maintaining project momentum, and ensuring clear communication and follow-through across a diverse set of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Intake, Planning & Execution

  • Manage the intake, setup, execution, and closure of marketing and communications projects across design, copy, and video workstreams.
  • Open and maintain projects in the project management system using standardized templates and shared folder structures.
  • Coordinate timelines, task sequencing, and handoffs across cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, follow up on outstanding tasks, and update project status as needed.
  • Identify and escalate risks, delays, or scope questions to senior project management or marketing operations leadership as appropriate.

Service Line & Account Support

  • Serve as the primary project management contact for assigned marketing portfolios and enterprise initiatives.
  • Support recurring and quick-turn request types, including but not limited to:
    • Email campaigns
    • Video conversions
    • Proofreading and editorial review requests
    • Corporate and production-related requests
    • Online store requests
    • Minor revisions and content updates
  • Maintain visibility into active and upcoming work across assigned portfolios in partnership with marketing and communications teams.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication

  • Schedule and support project meetings such as kickoffs, pre-production sessions, and status check-ins, including agenda creation, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Participate in design, copy, and video team huddles as needed to ensure new work is appropriately assigned and open questions are resolved.
  • Act as a central point of communication to ensure clarity across teams and reduce handoff friction through consistent documentation and follow-through.

Quality, Process & Closeout

  • Ensure projects are reviewed for completeness and accuracy prior to routing for approval or production.
  • Confirm final deliverables are archived appropriately and projects are formally closed in the project management system.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by following established workflows and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and clarity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination or project management within a marketing, communications, creative, or agency environment.
  • Experience managing projects across design, copy, and video teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting marketing projects within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Familiarity with design production workflows, email production processes, video conversion workflows, and editorial review cycles.
  • Experience working within a formal project management system and shared document repositories.

Core Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
  • Clear, professional communication across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to balance speed with accuracy in a high-volume environment
  • Comfort operating within established processes while adapting to changing priorities
