Marketing Insights Researcher

We're looking for a senior-level Marketing Insights Researcher to support a fast-moving marketing organization at the intersection of product development, AI innovation, and brand growth. This role partners closely with product, brand, and cross-functional teams to shape strategy through rigorous consumer and product insights.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who brings clarity to ambiguous problems, integrates multiple data sources, and ensures insights meaningfully influence decisions. This person should be as invested in the upstream and downstream impact of research as in the research itself—scoping the right questions, connecting usage data with qualitative understanding, and ensuring insights land with the right audiences.

Success in this role requires resilience, adaptability, and comfort navigating evolving priorities. While the work is primarily product-focused, the researcher should also understand how product experiences shape broader brand perceptions. The ability to balance visionary thinking with hands-on execution is essential.

This role will deliver insights that guide both near-term launches and long-term brand health, collaborating regularly with stakeholders and leading cross-functional workstreams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary insights partner for high-visibility product initiatives, ensuring research directly informs go-to-market and brand strategy.
  • Translate business questions into holistic learning plans; prioritize effectively and challenge assumptions to ensure the right questions are being answered.
  • Design and execute high-impact quantitative and qualitative research, including foundational audience understanding, campaign development, creative/message testing, and go-to-market evaluation.
  • Analyze and synthesize product data, user research, and other inputs to build clear, data-backed strategic recommendations.
  • Partner with research, data science, and analytics teams across planning, execution, and measurement to maximize the impact of marketing and product investments.
  • Influence decision-making and goal-setting through strong communication with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactively identify emerging opportunities, risks, and knowledge gaps to help the team navigate ambiguity and shape long-term strategy.
  • Champion and leverage AI-enabled research methods to accelerate insight generation and innovation in marketing measurement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in market research, consumer insights, or strategic consulting
  • Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research design and execution
  • Proven ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable strategic recommendations
  • Experience working closely with marketing or product teams and influencing decision-making
  • Strong ability to synthesize diverse data sources into cohesive insights
  • Experience solving both ambiguous, open-ended problems and structured research questions
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, SQL)
  • Experience with survey design and programming tools (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience influencing senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in brand strategy, brand building, or product marketing
  • Experience with AI-related products, features, or technologies
  • Background in social, entertainment, or consumer technology categories
  • Experience collaborating with research, data science, and cross-functional product teams
  • Familiarity with brand health measurement, tracking studies, and preference research
  • High fluency with AI-powered research tools and agentic workflows
  • Master's or PhD in a relevant field (marketing, psychology, communications, social sciences, statistics)
