Product Impact Manager

We are seeking an exceptional Product Impact Manager to join our Apple Services Commerce Product team. Our Commerce Product team builds the foundational platform features that empower Apple Services and third-party developers and publishers to monetize content by pricing and selling subscriptions and consumables, offering promotions โ€” ultimately connecting millions of users with incredible experiences. This is a pivotal role where you'll directly shape the strategic direction of our commerce initiatives, ensuring we invest in opportunities that deliver maximum business impact for Apple and our partners across beloved services like the App Store, Apple TV, and Apple Music. We are looking for a leader with deep experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders in a large global company, with an appreciation for the complexity and nuances of understanding and representing International market needs. You will be the architect of our Product Prioritization framework - managing Project Intake and Prioritization Initiatives to substantiate and prioritize business requests from cross-functional stakeholders. In parallel, you will manage our Product Valuations Program, partnering with Analytics for a consistent forecasting approach, modeling review and comprehensive performance scorecard to measure investment return over time.

As the Product Impact Manager, you are a strategic connector and an incisive analyst - deeply passionate about product excellence and business performance. You will operate at the intersection of product and business strategy, collaborating with our Commerce Product Managers for the full technical Commerce stack, whilst also working closely with Business stakeholders across the breadth of Apple Services and our International teams, Analytics, Engineering Program Managers, Design and more. Your influence will be tangible, directly shaping how Apple prioritizes its investments and drives growth.

Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Management: Facilitate the strategic project pipeline, synthesizing priorities from a broad and diverse range of stakeholders to maintain a clear and substantiated list of candidate projects
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Facilitate high-impact cross-functional forums to assess project impact, drive consensus, and finalize prioritization decisions.
  • Architecting Valuation Programs: In partnership with Analytics, continue to establish and facilitate a programmatic approach for consistent, credible, and comparable product valuations across Apple Services.
  • Strategic Forecasting: Source, Guide and/or Develop the product valuations approach with modeling assumptions and considerations, collaborating with business and product leaders to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment.
  • Data Stewardship: Develop and optimize systems and processes for sourcing, aggregating, and managing our Plan of Record (POR) data, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Business Reporting: Design and develop impactful visualization of data trends to facilitate great decisions conversations and business insights
  • Optimization and Innovation insights: Proactively identify and recommend optimizations for product performance and operational process efficiency, leveraging insights to drive innovation and/or continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strategic Product & Business Insight: Proven expertise in product and business strategy with experience in Business Planning and/or Portfolio Analysis, coupled with the confidence and understanding to proactively recommend impactful optimizations.
  • Financial Acuity: Analytical minded with a deep grounding of financial concepts and their direct impact on business outcomes in a forward looking context.
  • Data Acumen: Expert proficiency in data manipulation, aggregation, and analysis using tools like Excel, SQL, and CSV files.
  • Insightful Visualization: Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights through compelling reports and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Wrike, AirTable).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: A track record of successfully leading and collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering Program Management (EPMs), Analytics, and Business teams.
  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in product planning, product management, strategic product/business evaluation, or a related management/consulting role.
  • Education: Bachelors in Economics, Marketing, Digital, Industrial Engineering, Decision Analysis, Data Science, or related field and/or MBA with relevant work experience

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,100 and $305,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses โ€” including tuition. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
