Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what we could accomplish. The Finance Transformation team is evolving from a project-centric delivery model to a product-led mindset, ensuring our internal tools are as intuitive and innovative as the products Apple sells. We are looking for a Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of business needs and technical solutions. In this role, you will own specific products within our Finance platform portfolio, including AI-powered tools that transform how Finance operates at Apple. You will work directly with Business Stakeholders to understand their needs and partner with Engineering teams to deliver elegant, user-centered solutions. This is an opportunity to shape the future of Finance products while growing your product management craft.
As a Product Manager on the Finance Transformation team, you will own end-to-end product responsibility for one or more Finance products, with a focus on our AI Agent platform initiatives.
1. Product Discovery & Strategy (Defining the "What")
Problem Space Ownership: Partner with Transformation Leads and Finance stakeholders to deeply understand business pain points. Go beyond surface-level requests to uncover the underlying needs
User Research: Conduct user interviews, observe workflows, and analyze usage data to understand how Finance users actually work
Opportunity Sizing: Evaluate and prioritize product opportunities based on business impact, user value, and strategic alignment
Roadmap Development: Build and maintain a product roadmap that balances quick wins with long-term strategic initiatives
2. Product Definition & Delivery (Building the "Right Thing")
Feature Specification: Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics. Define the "what" and "why" while collaborating with Engineering on the "how"
AI Use Case Definition: For AI-powered features, define specific, high-value use cases such as automated financial analysis, intelligent document processing, or conversational policy assistance
Solution Architecture Partnership: Work closely with Engineering to define product capabilities and system requirements. You won't design the technical architecture, but you'll articulate what the system needs to do (e.g., "The agent must access real-time financial data and provide audit trails for all recommendations")
Release Planning: Partner with Engineering on sprint planning, scope management, and release strategy to ensure timely delivery of value
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration (Orchestrating Success)
The Triad Model: Operate within the collaborative framework between Business (Transformation Leads), Product (you), and Engineering
With Business Partners: Challenge requests to ensure you're solving the right problem. When a stakeholder asks for a specific feature, help them articulate the underlying need first
With Engineering: Respect technical constraints while advocating for user needs. Make informed trade-off decisions on scope, timeline, and quality
With Design & Data Science: Collaborate on user experience and AI model requirements to deliver solutions that meet Apple's high bar for quality
Prioritization Decisions: Make clear, data-informed decisions on what to build next and what to defer, always anchoring to user value and business impact
4. Product Excellence (Measuring & Iterating)
Success Metrics: Define how success will be measured for each product and feature. Track adoption, user satisfaction, business outcomes, and technical performance
User Feedback Loops: Establish ongoing mechanisms for gathering user feedback and translating it into product improvements
Apple Standards: Ensure all Finance products meet Apple's high standards for user experience, privacy, security, and accessibility
Ethical AI: For AI-powered features, ensure responsible AI practices including accuracy validation, bias detection, privacy protection, and transparent user communication
5+ years of experience in Product Management, specifically within Enterprise, FinTech, SaaS, or Platform organizations
BS/BA degree required in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field
Business-to-Technical Translation: Demonstrated ability to work between Business Stakeholders and Engineering teams. You know how to take business problems and translate them into clear product requirements and feature specifications
Product Thinking: Experience moving beyond requirements gathering to defining user value and outcomes. You understand the difference between delivering a project and delivering a product
AI & Emerging Technology: Interest in or experience with Generative AI, AI agents, or intelligent automation. You're excited about how AI can fundamentally transform business workflows, not just add a chatbot layer
Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence without authority, building alignment across diverse teams including Finance business partners, Engineering, Design, and Data Science
Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable using metrics, user feedback, and business data to inform prioritization and measure success
MBA or technical graduate degree is a plus
Experience in Finance Transformation, ERP systems, Internal Tools, or FinTech is highly desirable
