Head Of G2M, Product Manager
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.
Our sights are set high and our problems are hard, and we believe that diversity in the workplace is what makes us smarter, drives better insights, and will ultimately lift us all to success. We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.
What You'll Do:
We are seeking an accomplished, strategic, and execution-driven Head of Go-To-Market Product Management to lead the cross-functional planning and delivery of Archer's commercial market entry strategy. In this senior leadership role, you will work closely with Commercial, Business Development, Airlines/Operator Partners, Product, Engineering, Certification, and Operations teams to define market-specific product, operational, and regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable, company-wide go-to-market (GTM) and entry into service plans.
You will lead a small, high-performing team of GTM product managers and be responsible for ensuring Archer is operationally, commercially, and technically ready to launch in each target market. This is a highly cross-functional, externally facing, and execution-heavy leadership role critical to our business success.
- Bring together Archer's go-to-market and entry into service program strategy: Work with cross-function teams to define, operationalize, and manage the integrated program plan to prepare for commercial launch and market entry for each target geography and operator partner.
- Work with Engineering, Product, Commercial, and Airline/Operator teams to define and refine aircraft product requirements and concepts of operations (CONOPS): Translate customer feedback, operational insights, and regulatory considerations into actionable product and system-level requirements.
- Work with the Certification team to develop and execute certification strategy in support of market entry and entry into service: Partner with internal stakeholders and engage with the FAA and international regulatory authorities (e.g., EASA, CAAC) to ensure that product, operational, and customer readiness efforts are aligned with certification requirements.
- Lead a team of GTM program managers: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team responsible for managing discrete market launch programs, customer onboarding projects, and commercial readiness initiatives.
- Manage program-level risk, dependencies, and critical path: Identify, communicate, and proactively mitigate risks and cross-functional dependencies affecting commercial launch timelines and readiness.
- Track program health and readiness milestones: Establish and manage program KPIs, reporting structures, and regular status updates to executive leadership.
- Serve as the single-threaded program leader for market launches: Act as the executive interface to align cross-company stakeholders and external partners around launch readiness.
- Continuously refine and improve Archer's GTM and EIS playbook: Develop and institutionalize best practices for go-to-market execution, launch planning, and operator onboarding.
- Represent GTM readiness in executive leadership forums: Provide program health, readiness updates, and decision-making recommendations to the executive team.
What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Aviation, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing PM teams.
- 10+ years of product/program management, commercial operations, or go-to-market leadership experience in aerospace, automotive, transportation, or regulated industries.
- Proven success leading complex, cross-functional product launches, operational readiness programs, or entry into service initiatives.
- Exceptional organizational, strategic, and communication skills — with the ability to operate at both executive and tactical levels.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive cross-functional alignment, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
