As the Director of Product Certifications and Compliance, you will direct and control the activities of a broad functional area dedicated to our global product and industry certification efforts. You will have overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to ensure our products meet critical regulatory and market requirements. You will take full ownership and implementation of the roadmap to maintain, expand, and add new scopes for compliance and regulatory requirements across the business. You will be responsible for defining the singular financial view for compliance investments, improving decision velocity, and taking ownership of for global certifications. Effective coaching and mentoring are essential, as you will directly manage a team of program managers and you will influence all Product Managers' roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning, Budgeting, and Roadmap Execution: Participate with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives, ensuring that budgets and schedules meet business requirements. As part of owning the compliance roadmap, you will evaluate total cost of ownership and justify investments to the finance team by tying certification costs back to expected revenue gains.
  • Program and Team Management: Lead the team overseeing U.S. Public Sector certifications (FedRAMP High, DoD IL5, FIPS 140-3) and various other regulatory programs (IPv6, Common Criteria, VPAT, OpenSSL, TEC India, Canada CCCS, China MPS, EU CRA, and more).
  • Drive Complex Cross-Functional Initiatives: Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth company knowledge and coordination with several teams including Legal, InfoSec, and Engineering.
  • Process Improvement: Responsible for significant business process improvements and continual improvement in organizational effectiveness. This includes building processes and leading teams to remove layers and allow for quicker, tactical decisions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Requires demonstration of executive influence. This role requires regular interaction with executives and major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management, or influencing senior-level leaders on significant issues, such as securing funding to implement the compliance roadmap.
  • Requires demonstration of effective risk mitigation and sound decision-making. Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of the team's ability to work effectively with other departments and could even require withdrawing products from a market entirely. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field with 12 years of experience managing projects/programs; or an advanced degree with 10 years of experience.
  • Requires progressive, proven industry and management experience.
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of the cybersecurity industry and demonstrated expertise in navigating certifications, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
