The State Consultant, Product and Regulatory Approvals is responsible for researching, analyzing, and interpreting state regulatory requirements; developing and drafting state-specific benefit contract language; managing regulatory submissions through approval; negotiating with regulatory authorities; and performing compliance activities to support the development, implementation, and ongoing management of CVS Health products, programs, and initiatives.
3+ years of insurance industry, regulatory and/or legal experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking
- Ability to navigate multiple software environments/technically savvy.
- Strong project management skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and proven ability to work both independently and on a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with different audiences.
- The ability to "manage up" and communicate effectively with various levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to take on progressively more challenging projects.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and regulatory environment, including in-depth knowledge of Aetna products, services, business units and administrative procedures strongly preferred.
- Experience with SERFF, QuickBase and SharePoint a plus.
- Paralegal certificate.
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent years of related experience.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 – $112,200.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
