Job Description

The Team

Our Design Team plays a pivotal role in shaping ASOS as the go-to fashion destination for style-conscious 20-somethings across womenswear and menswear. Driven by creativity and innovation, our designers draw inspiration from global trends, street style, vintage finds, music, art, and the runway to create fresh, exciting collections that reflect the diverse tastes of our customers. We're passionate about newness and originality, designing standout pieces that resonate with our audience, whatever their style. Our team thrives on pushing boundaries, crafting ranges that are bold, relevant, and inclusive, while staying true to the ASOS spirit.

What You'll Be Doing...

  • Designing trend-led, stylish tailoring collections that resonate with our diverse 20-something customer.
  • Building commercially strong, well-balanced seasonal ranges aligned with ASOS's brand strategy and customer insights.
  • Collaborating with Buying, Commercial, Marketing, and Studio teams to bring your creative vision to life across product and storytelling.
  • Sharing trend insights and identify new product opportunities to keep our collections fresh, relevant, and ahead of the curve.
  • Using sales data and customer feedback to inform design decisions and drive performance.
  • Sourcing innovative fabrics, trims, and techniques, with a focus on sustainability and eco-conscious choices.
  • Partnering with Technical teams and suppliers to develop fits, silhouettes, and design details that meet quality and aesthetic standards.
  • Supporting and guiding junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

We believe being together in person helps us move faster, connect more deeply, and achieve more as a team. That's why our approach to working together includes spending at least 4 days a week in the office. It's a rhythm that speeds up decision-making, helps ASOSers learn from each other more quickly, and builds the kind of culture where people can grow, create, and succeed.

Qualifications

Who We'd Like to Meet

You are a confident and collaborative designer, with a natural ability to build strong relationships across teams and suppliers. You're proactive, organised, and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment while motivating and supporting others to do their best work. Passionate about fashion, keeping the customer front of mind and approach challenges with curiosity and strategic thinking.

You'll bring:

  • Experience in tailoring within an aspirational brand or high street retailer.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fabrics, fit, and garment construction.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD).
  • A track record of driving commercial success through design.
  • Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally for product development.

We'd love to see your work! As part of your application, please include a link or upload a copy of your design portfolio so we can get a feel for your creative style and experience.
