Product Software Developer – Back-End Summer Intern 2026
Assured Guaranty is seeking to hire a Product Software Developer to join our Secondary Market team. As a member of our group, you will work closely with business analysts, product owners, and other engineers to build back-ends for advanced products powered by data, AI or advanced analytics that will scale our Secondary Market business operations. We are looking for someone with a passion for technology, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and collaboration.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, or maintain scalable business products
- Develop robust server-side logic and services using languages such as Python, Java, C#, or Node.js.
- Integrate with databases and manage data flows between front-end and back-end systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver products that meet business needs.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote best practices.
- Debug issues, fix defects, and optimize application performance.
- Work with IT partners to ensure application security, reliability, and scalability.
- Document processes, configurations, and technical decisions.
Candidate Background & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (if recent graduate).
- Proficiency in either Python, Java, C#, Node.js, etc.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, web services, and database integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and present assignments concisely and accurately.
- Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently, maintaining accountability over assigned tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
The salary for the position is expected to be from $30 per hour to $32 per hour. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions. This position provides a weekly all-firm catered breakfast and lunch (Tuesday and Wednesday) as well as intern-specific meals and events.
Note: Housing stipend may be available for interns who will be residing outside of the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) for the duration of the summer internship program (June 2 – August 7).
