Overall Purpose: Responsible for leading the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of AT&T's Customer Self-Install (CSI) products and services. This role ensures alignment with market needs, operational efficiency, and business objectives, delivering high-quality solutions that maximize customer value. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Own the CSI product line across fiber, wireless broadband (AIA) and Extended Wi-Fi Coverage Service (EWCS), ensuring national scalability and improved customer experience.
  • Define and evolve the CSI roadmap to reduce technician dependency and increase self-install success rates.
  • Optimize customer onboarding and product fit through data-driven insights, segmentation strategies, and tailored install experiences.
  • Leverage dashboards, NLP tools, and backend data to monitor CSI performance, dispatch exceptions, and extender usage.
  • Build volume forecast models and calculate financial metrics (EBITDA, ROIC, IRR, NPV) to support business cases.
  • Lead trials of emerging CSI technologies including AI/AR install tools and Flagship app integrations.
  • Use technician notes and customer feedback to identify root causes of install failures and iterate on product features.
  • Form and lead cross-functional tiger teams across engineering, operations, supply chain, and customer care.
  • Coordinate with firmware, software, and lifecycle management teams to ensure seamless product launches.
  • Maintain CSI product backlog and align with PDP process to prioritize initiatives and avoid project cancellations.
  • Analyze customer sentiment and NPS data to inform product enhancements tailored to SFU and MDU segments.
  • Ensure frictionless onboarding and installation experiences that reduce support calls and increase setup success.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
  • Translate customer and technical requirements into product designs and business cases.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed product roadmaps and service documentation.
  • Collaborate with UX, technology, legal, pricing, and marketing teams to ensure product success.
  • Design and implement AI-driven solutions, including prompt engineering and the deployment of large language models, to enhance self-diagnosis, data analysis, and customer solutions development.

Job Contribution: An experienced professional, recognized as an expert, creatively resolving complex issues with broad and in-depth knowledge. Leads significant projects with strategic autonomy, influencing executive decisions. Mentors less experienced staff, implements long-term plans impacting the organization, and frequently collaborates with senior leadership.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.

Our Lead Product Management & Development earns between $143,800 - $215,800 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
