Principal Tech Product Manager

Define and drive the technical product vision, roadmap, and execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with market demands, and delivering customer-centric software solutions that meet business objectives. What you'll do
Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of agentic technology solutions, from initial ideation and requirements gathering to design, development, testing, launch, and post-launch optimization. Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, ensuring all deliverables, dependencies, and deadlines are rigorously tracked. Coordinate with product owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to manage risks, resolve issues, and keep projects on track. Maintain detailed documentation and implement best practices for program management across all workstreams.
- Build and continually refine program frameworks, processes, and operational metrics that drive clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Act as the single point of contact for program status, risk reporting, and escalation management. Proactively schedule and lead recurring status meetings, cross-functional check-ins, and working sessions with AT&T Business, AT&T Technology Services, the Chief Data Office, and additional internal partners. Anticipate roadblocks and foster a culture of transparency and rapid issue resolution.
- Define, track, and report on KPIs and business outcomes to measure the tangible impact of Agent Foundry initiatives. Create dashboards and regular reports that clearly communicate program benefits, adoption rates, cost savings, and productivity improvements to leadership and stakeholders. Use insights to inform prioritization and future investment decisions.
- Lead the evaluation and selection process for strategic vendors and technology partners. Develop and execute rigorous vetting criteria to ensure alignment with AT&T's business objectives, technical requirements, and security standards. Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and foster collaborative relationships to maximize value and mitigate risks.
- Deliver clear, concise, and actionable daily and weekly communications to diverse internal audiences. Regularly translate complex Foundry updates, technical advancements, and program progress into everyday language that is accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Develop communication materials, newsletters, and presentations to keep all teams engaged, informed, and aligned.
- Launch, scale, and champion the Agent Foundry program, setting the gold standard for agentic technologies and intelligent automation within AT&T Business. Champion a culture of innovation, agility, measurable business impact, and continuous education. Develop and deliver educational content and regular communications to inform, inspire, and drive adoption across the organization.
- Identify, recruit, and empower a network of internal advocates and early adopters to accelerate innovation and adoption. Organize workshops, roundtables, and knowledge-sharing sessions to spotlight success stories and foster a sense of community. Support pilot users and gather their feedback to inform broader rollouts.
- Inspire stakeholders across all levels with a compelling vision for the Agent Foundry. Translate strategic vision into tangible implementation plans, ensuring that excitement translates into action and measurable results. Develop adoption playbooks, success metrics, and recognition programs to incentivize engagement and usage.
- Define and evangelize a bold vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for agentic technologies and automation. Analyze customer needs, industry trends, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions. Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies (GenAI, multi-agent systems, automation platforms) and integrate relevant advancements into the program's direction.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in agile project management, supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross-team coordination. Partner with scrum teams to accelerate the delivery of high-impact features, resolve blockers, and drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and best practice sharing.
- Operate as a thought leader within AT&T. Mentor and coach emerging product managers, sharing expertise on agentic technologies, change management, and operational excellence. Influence executive stakeholders by providing strategic recommendations, market insights, and thought leadership on the future of automation and intelligent systems.
What you'll need
- Master's degree (MS/MA) desired in Computer Science.
- 7+ years of related experience.
- Certification is required in some areas.
