Job Description

As Product Manager - Industrial and Logistics Products, you will have the overall responsibility for the execution of the commercial strategy for the logistics and BLE product lines for AD Smartrac. A successful candidate will provide vision and direction to the organization and drive action and execution to achieve the strategic and P&L goals for this product portfolio. We are a business fueled by collaboration and teamwork, and passionate about growth, sustainability, and diversity. The Product Manager does not have "direct selling" responsibility.

The core responsibilities include:

  • Manage the logistics RFID Inlay portfolio (for logistics, parcel, and postal applications) and BLE products (for logistics, goods, and WIP tracking).
  • Product Line Strategy Development: Collaborate with the commercial team to develop current, medium-term, and next-year product line strategies, including Go-to-Market plans.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Manages product portfolio and lifecycle, ensuring product line profitability.
  • Gather market needs and competitive landscape: Analyze market and competitive landscapes, integrating feedback from commercial teams to iteratively develop products based on current effectiveness, competitive pressures, and market needs. Understand market dynamics, key accounts, and how the product portfolio meets needs. Guide new programs to winning solutions.
  • Service Strategy Collaboration: Collaborate with Supply Chain and Sales on service strategies and programs for assigned product lines. Guide Commercial teams to specific products based on market dynamics and company goals.
  • Own and evolve product roadmap and value proposition: Lead cross-functional reviews, gather customer requirements, and conduct product training (internal/external) with product marketing.
  • Define, prioritize, and launch new products with cross-functional teams: This includes gathering and evaluating product ideas for competitive advantage, developing comprehensive product plans (competitive intelligence, forecasts, specifications, features, benefits), and collaborating with marketing on launch strategies and selling arguments.

Qualifications

At least ten (10) years of work experience, demonstrating the required skill set for the role.

Prior experience in product or portfolio management demonstrating successful lifecycle management and profitable growth.

Demonstrated success in cross-regional product development projects or initiatives, including rollout.

Experience in converting leverage, major logistic players setup and RFID industry is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of project management tools.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members and cross-functional stakeholders with the ability to solve problems through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Command of qualitative market research skills and comprehensive industry knowledge, including the use of related tools and databases.

Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Assertive, persistent, and flexible in working in a matrixed, fast-paced organization.

Self-discipline, self driven and urgency (sense of time pressure and motivation to complete activities).

Risk-taking (willing to try new things and explore new domains).

Bachelor of Science in business with a supporting technical background or engineering with relevant business experience.
