Senior SEO Manager (Product & Marketing)

We are looking for an innovative SEO Manager to take ownership of our organic search strategy for a massive classifieds platform boasting millions of pages. In this highly cross-functional role, you will act as the crucial bridge between our engineering efforts and marketing goals. You won't just be chasing keywords; you will be shaping product roadmaps, guiding developers, and future-proofing our visibility against the rapid rise of AI and LLM-driven search.

About the Role
Strategy
- Own the SEO Roadmap: Develop, execute, and scale the overarching SEO strategy, ensuring alignment between Marketing acquisition goals and Product development cycles.
- Cross-Functional Bridge: Act as the primary liaison between Marketing, Product, and Engineering, translating business goals into actionable technical requirements.
- OKR & Business Alignment: Tie all SEO initiatives directly to overarching business goals and clear OKRs, ensuring every project—from technical optimizations to content strategies—drives measurable ROI and aligns with company-wide targets.
Technical SEO & Product Development
- Developer Support: Work hand-in-hand with Dev and Product teams during sprints. Provide clear specifications, acceptance criteria, and QA for technical SEO initiatives (e.g., Core Web Vitals, JavaScript rendering, server-side changes).
- Enterprise-Scale Analysis: Conduct deep-dive technical audits on a site with millions of URLs. Optimize crawl budget, indexation strategies, XML sitemaps, and site architecture for our classifieds inventory.
- Programmatic SEO: Identify and scale programmatic SEO opportunities using our vast database of user-generated content and listings.
Future-Proofing & LLM Optimization
- AI Search Visibility: Monitor, track, and optimize our visibility within LLM-driven search engines and AI Overviews (AIO).
- Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): Adapt traditional SEO strategies to ensure our classified listings are easily digested, cited, and recommended by AI chatbots and generative search experiences.
Content & Editorial Support
- Editorial Guidance: Support the content and editorial teams with data-driven keyword research, content gap analysis, and E-E-A-T best practices.
- UGC Optimization: Create guidelines for optimizing User-Generated Content (titles, descriptions, media) to maximize organic reach while maintaining platform quality.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven hands-on SEO experience, ideally gained in enterprise-level environments such as classifieds, marketplaces, or e-commerce platforms with millions of pages.
- Technical Prowess: Deep understanding of technical SEO elements (log file analysis, crawl budget optimization, JavaScript SEO, schema markup, and canonicalization).
- Tool Proficiency: Advanced experience with enterprise SEO tools (e.g., Botify, OnCrawl, Lumar), crawling software (Screaming Frog), and analytics platforms (Google Search Console, GA4). SQL/BigQuery experience is a massive plus.
- AI Forward: A strong understanding of how Large Language Models ingest and retrieve data, with a passion for testing and learning in the evolving AI search landscape.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex SEO concepts to non-SEO stakeholders. You know how to talk business with Marketing and technical specs with Developers.
- Data-Driven: Highly analytical mindset with a proven track record of using data to secure buy-in for SEO initiatives and measure their impact.
