Creative Designer I
The CLUB Creative Designer I supports the Bass Pro CLUB design team by producing print and digital assets that align with our brand and business goals. This role involves designing for a wide range of needs—from large-scale print materials like trade show displays and catalog spreads to fast-turn digital assets such as web banners and promotional graphics. This role requires you to work in the corporate office located in Springfield, Missouri, Monday through Friday.
Essential Functions:
- Design compelling layouts for print materials such as catalog pages, mailers, inserts, and in-store signage
- Develop digital assets for web and email, often under tight timelines
- Ensure all work aligns with Bass Pro Shops brand standards and visual identity
- Prepare mock-ups and presentation materials for team reviews and stakeholder approval
- Collaborate with other designers to experiment with layout options, typography, and design treatments
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Perform other creative duties as assigned
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Associate degree in graphic design or a related field
- Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or a related field
- Experience: 2 to 4 years
- 1 year of experience in a professional working environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Proficient in Creative software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Mac OS
- Skilled in illustration (logos, icons, maps, etc)
- Ability to work under pressure to deliver high quality designs with limited production time
- Work simultaneously on 5+ projects based on current workload
- Develop cohesive designs while bringing together disparate design elements created by other professionals, such as icons, photographs, enterprise designs and components necessary to fulfill creative briefs
- Consult with variety of stakeholders to create cohesive designs that meet creative brief objectives
- Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to brand consistency
- Open to feedback and able to apply constructive criticism effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 10% travel for training, collaboration, or team events
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly performs computer work and sits
- Occasionally walks and stands
Independent Judgement:
- Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
