Job Description
Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) is a core BD business focused on enabling safe, reliable, and efficient medication delivery across healthcare settings. MDS provides a broad portfolio of injection, infusion, vascular access, and closed medication delivery solutions that are used every day in hospitals, pharmacies, and alternate sites of care to support clinical workflows and protect patients and healthcare workers.
About the role:
As Associate Director, MDS – US Region, you'll lead US marketing for BD's Vascular Care portfolio, spanning Flush & Caps and Skin Prep & Securement within the Medication Delivery Solutions business. This high-impact role drives downstream marketing, launch excellence, strategic planning, and sales enablement to fuel growth.
You'll own marketing plans and budgets, partner closely with Sales, and directly lead a marketing team, making this an ideal opportunity for a leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and people leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Utilizes the BD Way of Marketing methodology, competencies, and tools to evaluate US competitive marketing strategy and moves to renew/refine strategy including go-to-market elements to accelerate growth and product category share gain and achieve and exceed growth expectations in dollars, units, and gross profitability targets.
- Develops and manages all aspects of annual strategic review (ASR) and marketing plans for assigned products to ensure the achievement of financial/budget expectations and product line strategies, including market sensing, market development and marketing mix.
- Works with customer facing functions including, but not limited to, National Account Sales, Customer Service, Oncology Sales, Channel Management and aligns with, and where required establishes relationships with GPOs, Distributors, and other pertinent customers and partners to drive growth.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with US based thought leaders, key opinion leaders, prioritized associations and medical societies as required to stay updated on current and emerging trends in clinical practices, market, and competitive trends.
- US Region Tracking, monitoring, and reporting in a cohesive and articulate manner account wins, losses & pricing adjustments -- and synthesis of opportunities and risks. The Associate Director will be required to provide regular reports to Management and provide input to budget, projections, and forecasts.
- Participates as a Marketing Core Team Member on cross-platform teams initiatives, delivering the marketing leadership and support needed to the relevant projects. Works constructively with internal functions including Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Quality, Finance and leadership.
- Develop, and utilize market analyses and market research where necessary, and evaluate results to optimize the marketing planning process.
- Embodies BD Excellence in every aspect – strategic, tactical, and day-to-day execution.
- Ensure that all activities are consistent with the BD core values and comply with relevant acts, legal demands, and regulatory and ethical standards.

About you:

Required education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant marketing experience (e.g., launch excellence, sales enablement, market planning), preferably within large matrixed organizations
- Proven experience leading multi-workstream initiatives with complex dependencies and senior-level visibility.
- Strong experience establishing governance, driving execution discipline, managing risk, and facilitating decision-making across cross-functional teams.
- collaborates effectively and constructively challenges when needed.
- Data-driven decision-maker who translates insights into action.
- Ability to simplify complexity and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively and influence without authority in a matrixed environment.
