For our Editorial and Marketing Partnerships department, we are looking for a Head of Editorial & Marketing Partnerships (m/w/d) for our locations in Berlin or Hamburg as soon as possible.
Job Description
Your Tasks
1. Strategic Leadership & Market Analysis
- Development and implementation of the national EMP strategy (Editorial & Marketing Partnerships) in line with global goals.
- Building and maintaining strong partnerships with digital platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, TikTok, etc.).
- Identification of new opportunities to increase the visibility and reach of artists.
- Monitoring market trends, platform innovations, and competitive analyses for continuous development of the area.
- Proactive engagement with the future of the area with regard to automation, algorithmic relevance, and data-driven promotion.
2. Team Leadership & Development
- Leading, motivating, and developing an ambitious EMP team with a clear focus on entrepreneurial thinking and solution-oriented approach.
- Responsibility for setting and achieving local OKRs and team-related KPIs.
- Establishing clear service-level agreements and monitoring the operational excellence of the team.
- Fostering a high-performance, collaborative team culture with a strong sense of ownership and continuous professional development.
3. Platform Collaborations & Promotion
- Building, maintaining, and deepening relationships with key contacts on DSPs.
- Planning and conducting listening sessions, pitches, campaigns, and strategic discussions with platforms.
- Managing local DSP marketing activities - from negotiation to conception and implementation of innovative formats.
- Supporting labels and artists in audience development strategies and promotion opportunities.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Close collaboration with internal teams from label management, sales, video, PM, DM, and our brand heads to align shared goals and processes.
- Implementation and optimization of measurable processes and interfaces with clearly defined SLAs.
- Monthly reviews for result analysis, impact measurement, and process improvement.
5. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Regular creation of performance reports and analyses to evaluate campaigns, platform activities, and team performances.
- Use of data for strategic management and optimization of activities.
- Development of reporting standards in close collaboration with BI and data teams.
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in digital music distribution, ideally with a focus on DSP relations, key accounting, or trade marketing.
- Proven leadership experience with a strong focus on motivation and strategic orientation.
- Excellent knowledge of the digital music ecosystem, the most important platforms, and trends.
- Proficient networking skills and communication strength – both internally and externally. Established network is an advantage.
- Entrepreneurial thinking, high initiative, and a proactive, future-oriented working style.
- Fluent German and English skills in speech and writing.
