Operations Analyst

As the Operations Analyst on the Enterprise Product Management team, you'll maintain the accuracy, structure, and usability of Best Buy's product data. You will ensure product information is reliable, compliant, and complete across systems, supporting smooth operations and consistent customer experience. The support function includes two partnered groups - principles and support, and training and support. This role will sit on the principles and support team, focusing on data accuracy, hierarchy governance, system-level operations, and process improvements.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure accurate and consistent product data across internal and customer-facing systems including performing mass data updates using large datasets.
  • Manage system access reviews, including SOX-related requirements.
  • Support vendor asset processes to ensure timely and accurate asset availability.
  • Lead root cause analysis and partner with technology teams to resolve issues and continuous improvement of documentation and workflows.
  • Represent business needs in system design discussions, enhancements, integrations, and downstream workflow optimizations.
  • Collaborate with business, technology, e-commerce, and vendor partners to align data requirements and impacts.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in analytics, project coordination, inventory, merchandising, retail, e-commerce, or customer support
  • 1 year supporting operations for complex systems or processes
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formula building)
  • Ability to influence without authority

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in e-commerce, merchandising, data analytics, product content, or data management
  • 2 years of basic data analysis experience with the ability to provide recommendations
  • Experience with data modeling or data mapping
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, work effectively under pressure, and make sound decisions quickly
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex information to cross-functional teams and leaders
