As a Finance Business Partner Product Supply you are part of the BPA Product Supply National Team and responsible for the management reporting of various functional areas for the production site in Idar-Oberstein.

This includes financial planning, decision support, and forecasts. You monitor the day-to-day business by providing detailed analyses to the area managers to support the decision-making process. Business risks and opportunities are identified and evaluated in a timely manner. You are also responsible for the accounting closing, SOX controls, and contact person for the external auditors.

Your tasks in detail are:

  • Business partner for the production site: development of solutions for business requirements, supporting and questioning projects and initiatives from a financial perspective, and ensuring sound business cases for decision-making (including preparation of investment proposals)
  • Monthly and annual closing: variance analysis and commentary of the results, coordination of provisions, close coordination with the financial reporting & accounting department, and compliance with SOX
  • Planning, budget, and rolling forecast: budget planning in coordination with the area managers and active monitoring of costs and business development, initiation of corrective measures, provision of timely, accurate, and binding target and rolling plan figures
  • Analysis & reporting: provision and commentary of accurate, relevant analyses for management to support monthly reviews and ad-hoc requests, control of cost and capital developments through analysis of cost center trends and expenditures
  • Ensuring the operational implementation of the strategic goals of the BPA organization within a specific business area; participation in projects and continuous improvement of existing processes

What you bring with you:

  • University degree in business administration, economics, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in controlling, ideally in an international production environment
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems, especially S4/Hana. Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Profound knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills as well as strong team and communication skills
  • Ability to work across functions with a high degree of independence
  • High flexibility and solution orientation as well as responsibility for your own work
  • Self-motivation and ability to learn
  • Fluent German and English skills in speech and writing
