Product Owner (Senior Or Lead)

The Boeing Company is looking for a Product Owner (Senior or Lead) to join the team in Kent, WA; Seattle, WA; Everett, WA; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; Ridley Park, PA; Hazelwood, MO; or Berkeley, MO.

Join our Boeing Private Cloud team as a skilled specialist with deep expertise in Platform as a Service (PaaS), Kubernetes, and Containers as a Service (CaaS). Use your Development and Operations (DevOps) experience to collaborate with customers in defining use cases, requirements, and process backlogs, while supporting architecture and budget planning to drive product adoption within an Agile environment.

You will lead customer engagement efforts, analyze competitor and market data, and shape Information Technology (IT) product strategy and capabilities. Partner closely with the Internal Supply Chain (ISC) and Global Supply Vendor Management (GSVM) teams to manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations, developing compelling business cases and product plans. You will ensure exceptional user experience across our service offerings, driving customer satisfaction and product success.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with consumers of Boeing Private Cloud products to understand and prioritize capabilities
  • Lead engagement with Information Security and other governance stakeholders to understand compliance requirements for Boeing Private Cloud services as well as application tenants
  • Define and prioritize capabilities within the backlog and allocate supporting features to the correct team within the Boeing Private Cloud service
  • Ensure product completeness by reviewing the completed set of features required to deliver each capability
  • Manage quality and consistency of backlogs, including acceptance criteria, estimating, and standardized metrics for backlog maturity
  • Work with Boeing Private Cloud architects, ensure that architecture patterns are enabled and acceptable for the developer experience while conforming to security requirements
  • Manage integrated experience and capability across all three Private Cloud offerings wherever possible
  • Work with the Boeing Cloud Product Manager to understand the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipeline and Continuous Integrations/Continues Delivery (CI/CD) automation approach with emerging cloud capability in the Boeing Data Centers
  • Collaborate with the solution category manager to create budgets for cloud consumption and software support, while adhering to the Boeing Private Cloud Team's Financial Operations (FinOps) best practices
  • Manage overall product delivery by sourcing partners
  • Work with operations functions to ensure operational support for all Boeing Private Cloud capabilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with DevOps software including Gitlab, Ansible, Terraform, Jira, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipelines, AWS CodeGuru
  • 5+ years of experience working in leading activities across multiple functions and outside organizations to maintain operational efficiency in support of production operations
  • 5+ years of experience in performing user research, user interface design activities, and usability evaluations for a software application or system of systems
  • 5+ years of experience gathering and evaluating end user requirements to design application integration solutions
  • 5+ years of experience supporting engineering teams developing business reports or metrics that influence decision making

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Tanzu products, Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, or other Kubernetes products
  • Experience as a Product Owner or Project Manager
  • Experience with technical industry products and market dynamics
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with maintaining a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Senior (Level 4): $123,250 - $178,250

Summary Pay Range for Lead (Level 5): $151,300 - $218,500
