Product Repair/Mod Technician (Structures)
Boeing is looking for a Product Repair/Mod Technician (Structures) to join the team in Papa, Hungary.
Boeing, the manufacturer of the C-17, is responsible for contract flight line maintenance; engineering and technical support; and management and supply of spare parts.
This position is part of the on-site C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team supporting the Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) C-17 aircraft based at Papa AB, Hungary. Applicant will participate in organizational level maintenance activities (e.g. flight line tasks including aircraft servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis and component replacement, and structural repair) associated with day-to-day operations of C-17 Globemaster III aircraft to meet SAC mission requirements.
The applicant will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal parts and composite structures for aircraft. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure the correct fit, alignment, and functionality of components.

Basic Requirements:
- This position is required to work one of three shifts Monday through Friday, weekends and holidays as required to support the flight line maintenance requirements.
- This role requires the ability to obtain NATO security clearance.
- Candidates must have experience in the aviation industry.
- English is the primary language of the SAC community on the airbase in Papa. All technical data to perform the tasks and training are in English. Competency in reading, comprehension and speaking the English language is necessary.
- Minimum 10 years Sheetmetal and composite work experience (certificate is required)
- Candidate must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to read and comprehend English.
- Candidate must be able to:
- master the use of pneumatic tools, electrical bonding equipment, measuring devices, and torquing equipment
- use tools such as scales, protrusion gages, fastener grip gages, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and understand all calibration requirements
- use drilling devices like pistol grip drill motors, 90- and 45-degree angle motors and set up countersinks
- drill holes true and round, maintain 2-degree angularity, determine edge distance, pitch distance, equal distance spacing, and differentiate hole requirements for interference, transition, and clearance fasteners
- use Alodine (1132 pen), touch-up paint, topcoat/clear coat
- understand drawings and blueprints, follow planning requirements, and have basic computer operating skills.
Preferred Requirements:
- experience from military fixed wing community or civilian heavy structure background
- EASA/EMAR license not required but a plus
