Senior Information Technology (IT) Product Owner

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Information Technology (IT) Product Owner to join the Specialized United States Infrastructure Operations Organization in Hazelwood, MO or Berkeley, MO.

In this position, you will help lead DevSecOps teams in a cloud environment. The focus will be on cloud migrations, transitioning into cloud optimization and cloud-first releases for Special Access Program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of project requirements
  • Assist management in the alignment of resources for daily operations
  • Ensure the product strategy and vision is efficiently communicated and effectively executed
  • Identify and monitor KPIs and use them as a cornerstone for team focus and priorities
  • Own and continuously groom the feature backlog, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business goals
  • Ensure automation with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code is used in standing up applications
  • Champion continuous improvement in Agile processes, tooling, and team collaboration to enhance delivery efficiency
  • Collaborate closely with Architects to ensure modernization efforts and software integrations align with architecture alignment to cloud
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Agile teams focused on delivering modernization features primarily involving COTS software solutions
  • Oversee and coordinate release processes, ensuring timely and quality delivery of applications to Production environments
  • Leverage Agile best practices and tools (e.g., Jira) to manage backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release coordination
  • Monitor progress, surface technical and process blockers, and facilitate resolution across cross-functional teams
  • Support demos, stakeholder reviews, and Agile ceremonies, acting as a consistent technical and strategic voice
  • Coordinate modernization milestones and release schedules to meet objectives
  • Utilize project planning and release management tools to plan, track, and optimize project deliverables and resource allocation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Kanban, etc.) and agile project management tools (JIRA, TFS, VersionOne, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience as a product owner and/or product manager in agile development
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile software development lifecycle
  • 1+ years of experience in a cloud computing environment e.g. Azure/AWS/Google Cloud
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role
  • Experience with configuring COTS applications on Cloud environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience communicating with senior leadership
  • Current Agile Certifications (PMI-ACP, CPSO, Safe Product Owner, etc.)
  • Experience with backlog along with continuous backlog grooming
  • Experience with risk management and problem-solving in high-pressure environments

Summary pay range: $117,300 – $158,700
