We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to own the design of new products within Bolt's New Bets team. This is a 0-to-1 role across multiple early-stage bets — from premium mobility to restaurant discovery to financial services — which means real ownership, real ambiguity, and real impact. New Bets operates like a collection of autonomous startups inside Bolt. There is no playbook, no established design system, and no clear roadmap handed to you. You will define the experience from scratch, move fast, and be central to what gets built. About the role

This is a hands-on individual contributor role that spans the full design process — from early discovery and concept validation through to shipped product. You will work in a small, fast-moving cross-functional team where your decisions carry real weight. You will not only execute design — you will help shape what gets built and why. Collaboration and communication are as important as craft here. You will work directly with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, and you are expected to lead through influence, not through process.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Own the design process end-to-end: from problem framing and discovery to interaction design and quality assurance at launch. Turn ambiguous problem spaces into clear, well-scoped design directions that the team can move on. Get close to users early. Validate concepts before they become assumptions baked into the product. Prototype quickly to reduce ambiguity and create shared understanding across the team. Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to align goals and keep momentum. Share work openly, gather feedback, and iterate with purpose.

About you:

You have strong 0-to-1 experience. You are comfortable with ambiguity, know how to frame problems before solving them, and can build a coherent experience from scratch. You move fast, validate with intent, and take full ownership. In a small team, you make sure nothing falls through — even if it is outside your role. You lead through influence. You speak the language of product, earn trust across functions, and get people aligned around quality work. You have 4+ years of product design experience with a portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end work on consumer-facing digital products. You treat Figma as a baseline. You prototype with intent, communicate design rationale clearly, and bring a strong mobile-first design sensibility. Experience with marketplace or multi-sided platforms (ride-hailing, food delivery, e-commerce) is a plus. At Bolt, using AI daily is a baseline expectation for everyone. If there's a faster, smarter way to do your work, we expect you to find it. You're still responsible for the output, so the standard stays high when using AI tools.
