Partner with Design Assurance and R&D Engineers and Technicians in the development and verification of Medical Single Use Devices and/or Medical Capital Equipment. Work with high-performance cross-functional sustaining team to ensure safety, quality and compliance of launched products while continuously improving their commercial value through end-of-life. This position will focus on research and development of life like materials utilized in test method and equipment development to satisfy product requirements.
Your responsibilities will include: use your problem-solving abilities to perform meaningful engineering work; grow your skillset through a combination of training, hands-on experience, and mentorship; collaborate with a cross-functional team; have opportunities to expand your professional network; get exposure to what it is like working in a Fortune 500 medical device company; help develop test equipment for satisfying product requirements; review of product specifications and design documentation; review design verification and validation documentation; help develop equipment to be used in the PCIG Design Verification Testing.
Required qualifications: pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering; must graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027; must have at least one semester of school left post-internship; must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th; must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization; must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location.
Preferred qualifications: ability to communicate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams; ability and passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions; lab experience from classes or research.
