Senior Product Owner

We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Product Owner to lead the development and lifecycle management of enterprise systems that support product attribute data and regulated materials compliance. This role will oversee databases within the Product Data Domain (PDD), the system of record for product data, and SaaS platforms like Assent Sustainability Manager (ASM), used for managing chemical composition and regulatory requirements across the product lifecycle.

In this role, you will work with R&D, IT, Quality, Product Stewardship, and other functional leaders across the enterprise to ensure these data systems are delivering the product and component data needed for regulation and business needs. Ultimately, you will help us ensure that our R&D and business needs are fully supported by internal information and data management capabilities while adhering to the principles of Master Data Governance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own the product vision, mission, and roadmap for internal platform of databases and applications, managing product attributes (e.g., PDD, GS 1 GDSN, SAP-integrated systems) in a regulated environment.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, Supplier Engineering, Product Stewardship, and IT to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Manage the integration and evolution of SaaS tools (e.g., Assent Sustainability Manager) for regulated materials tracking, including chemical composition, exemptions, and environmental scorecards.
  • Define and prioritize JIRA product and business initiatives, epics, and user stories, backlog items, and system enhancements based on stakeholder input and regulatory changes.
  • Ensure seamless data flow between PLM systems (e.g., Windchill) and compliance platforms.
  • Facilitate vendor coordination for SaaS tools, including updates to regulatory databases and system performance.
  • Support validation and testing efforts for new features and data migration activities.
  • Monitor and report on system performance, user adoption, and compliance metrics.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field.
  • 8-10+ years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods) with a focus on product data or compliance.
  • Deep and broad knowledge of multiple technologies with extensive knowledge of the capabilities and constraints
  • Strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks and material disclosure requirements.
  • Experience managing product master data and regulated materials workflows.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and prioritize business needs.
  • Experience with managing GS1 GDSN Global and country requirements and data, including translations, image and document URLs etc.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with product attribute systems (e.g., PDD, SAP), PLM tools (e.g., Windchill), and SaaS platforms for compliance (e.g., Assent, WPA).
  • Experience supporting regulatory submissions and product launch readiness.
  • Knowledge of chemical composition databases and environmental scorecard methodologies.
  • Proficiency in tools like Jira or ServiceNow for managing product backlogs and workflows.
  • Master Degree
