Senior Upstream Product Manager - HAI Therapy

Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Upstream Product Manager to join our dynamic Global Interventional Oncology & Embolization team. This role will focus on the development and strategic planning for HAI therapy product portfolio including the HAI pump and accessories, drugs and infusates and any associated software solutions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the upstream marketing efforts, ensuring alignment of voice of customer, business, and technology to address unmet clinical needs. This person is an experienced marketer of highly technical and clinical products and demonstrates strengths in customer insights, product development, and business acumen while working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Define and prioritize user needs with product requirements for HAI therapy product portfolio including the HAI pump and accessories, drugs and infusates and any associated software solutions. Work closely with R&D and clinical teams to guide the development to ensure that product design, intended use, and clinical trials align with market needs and strategic goals.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive upstream marketing plans for HAI product portfolio. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define new categories which inform business cases, market models and investment proposals.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and potential barriers for new indications and markets. Utilize insights to inform product development, clinical and business strategies.
  • Lead VOC activities to gather feedback from healthcare professionals, patient groups, and stakeholders. Advocate for customer needs in product development and marketing strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and industry stakeholders. Work closely with internal leadership and stakeholders to align product strategies with organizational goals.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Healthcare/Biomedical fields.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the medical device industry
  • Flexibility to travel up to 20%

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
  • Experienced in managing all aspects of upstream marketing product development functions through the Product Lifecyle Process (PLCP) with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Preferred experience in oncology and/or neurovascular roles
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence key stakeholders without direct authority
  • Advanced degrees, including MBA or MS
  • Experience working globally across multiple countries/regions
  • Proven track record of Physician and KOL engagement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Work Mode: At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Maple Grove, MN office at least three days per week.
