The Interventional Cardiology Therapies (ICTx) division at Boston Scientific is a market-leading, $2B+ business with a strong growth trajectory in the coming years. The Boston Scientific ICTx portfolio includes technologies to treat coronary artery disease and structural heart disease. The Coronary Therapies (CT) franchise within ICTx has a market-leading portfolio of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) tools which align with the physicians PCI workflow of See the vessel, Prepare the lesion, and Treat the disease. This includes IVUS imaging, physiology wires, cutting balloons, atherectomy systems, angioplasty balloons, drug-eluting stents (DES), drug delivery devices, interventional guide catheters and guidewires, and a broad tool kit of complex PCI products. In CT, we have continued to invest in the portfolio and have worked toward our strategic imperative of transforming into new market categories. It will be key for our future to develop a product pipeline into new spaces.
The director of Upstream Marketing will be responsible for definition and execution of CT's global product portfolio in the key categories of DET and Calcium. The director will lead the upstream marketing team and own the category strategic planning and portfolio assessment in partnership with Program Management and R&D. This leader will partner collaboratively with other marketing leaders, including divisional and regional to ensure the future roadmap will maximize value creation across the globe. This individual will also engage and set priorities for divisional and corporate new business development (NBD) to fill technology and portfolio gaps through market analytics and competitive assessments.
