About the Role:

Bushbalm is looking for a bold, brand-obsessed marketing leader to step into the role of Director of Brand Marketing for a 15-month maternity leave contract. In this role, you'll guide our brand strategy, oversee major campaign moments, and lead a dynamic team—including our Influencer Marketing Manager and Brand Marketing Manager. You'll report directly to the VP of Growth Marketing and collaborate closely across departments to make big brand ideas happen.

This is a leadership role for someone who can keep creative momentum strong, align cross-functional teams, and inspire execution that's equal parts cheeky, premium, and results-driven.

What You'll Do:

• Own and orchestrate the brand marketing calendar—from seasonal campaigns to product drops
• Lead 360° campaign planning, ensuring every touchpoint (social, influencer, email, retail, PR) works together
• Mentor and support the Brand Marketing and Influencer Marketing Managers, by being a collaborative and empowering leader.
• Provide mentorship through both high-level guidance and in-the-weeds collaboration.
• Turn weekly priorities into brand moments—setting goals, allocating resources, and keeping things on track
• Collaborate across Creative, Product, and DTC to bring campaigns to life
• Guide high-level influencer and social strategy—aligning creative direction with budget and KPIs
• Partner with the Retention team to shape email and SMS storytelling
• Manage external partners (PR agencies, Amazon agencies, photographers, creative freelancers, etc.)
• Support marketing initiatives for retail partners like Ulta Beauty
• Spot trends, chase cultural moments, and keep the brand ahead of the curve

What You'll Bring:

• 7+ years in brand marketing—ideally in beauty, CPG, or lifestyle
• Experience managing and mentoring marketing or creative teams
• A track record of turning strategy into buzzworthy campaigns
• Strong creative instincts and a collaborative mindset
• Deep understanding of influencer marketing—including organic gifting, content evaluation, and creator partnerships
• Excellent communication and project management chops
• A sharp eye for brand consistency and scroll-stopping content
• Experience running a television campaign a big plus
