Senior User Experience (UX) Designer

About the Role Farmers hiring a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer to join the Farmers Customer Experience Team, a multidisciplinary group that combines the power of human-centered and data-driven approaches to create end-to-end omni-channel experiences that enhance customer satisfaction, streamline operations, and deliver business impact. This role drives strategic design by deeply understanding current user experiences, identifying opportunities, and envisioning future-state solutions. It leads the creation of effective user experiences through advanced UX principles and strategic thinking while independently delivering design solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to evolving design systems. The ideal candidate would have already achieved a senior level of UX and digital product design proficiency (including the associated tools, collaboration skills, and understanding of technology) and is now looking to grow by applying that experience strategically within the broader context of Customer Experience and Service Design. Key Responsabilities

1. Plans and facilitates workshops and design sprints to establish alignment, understand business objectives, develop concepts, and chart strategic paths forward.
2. Contributes to user research efforts interviews, surveys, usability testing, A/B tests, and competitive evaluations to uncover behaviors, motivations, and pain points.
3. Collaborates with Journey Owners and research teams to define target audiences and goals.
4. Maps user journeys, workflows, and service touchpoints to identify pain points and opportunities.
5. Applies insights to recommend UX improvements, validate decisions, and develop design concepts that balance user needs with business objectives.
6. Creates wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to explore, communicate, and document solutions.
7. Tests and refines layouts, user interfaces, interaction patterns, and system components to ensure consistency and quality. Develops clear documentation and specifications to enable seamless implementation and guide development processes. Supports the evolution of design systems by evaluating and updating components to promote scalability and reusability.
8. Collaborates with product teams, development teams, and stakeholders to define requirements and co-create solutions. Participates in planning sessions and design reviews to facilitate implementation of features and functionality as designed.
9. Keeps stakeholders informed on goals, expectations, and timelines throughout the design process. Leads meetings effectively and presents with polish, using advanced storytelling and presentation skills to convey context, design concepts and rationale through a compelling narrative.
10. Conducts post-launch design evaluations to assess effectiveness of the design work, identify usability issues, recommend refinements, and measure impact.
11. Accepts and incorporates feedback to improve performance and work quality while knowing when to change direction or stay the course.
12. Seeks out opportunities to advance design skills by staying informed on trends, tools, and best practices in user experience. Actively explores and appropriately integrates AI tools into the design workflow.
13. Mentors less experienced team members to develop skills while providing feedback they seek and value.
