As a Product Strategy lead within the Retail Bank, this role will act as the catalyst for innovation by leading high-intensity strategy sprints to solve our most ambiguous and ambitious product challenges. You will define robust growth strategies designed to rapidly scale our digital footprint, leveraging your analytical rigor to identify net-new opportunities in the banking ecosystem. By serving as the primary bridge between Product, Tech, and Design, you will cultivate deep cross-functional partnerships that translate visionary ideas into tangible, high-impact roadmaps that drive long-term customer value.

General Responsibilities:

  • Refine the multi-year north star visions and strategies for Retail Bank's most critical domains—including Core Modernization, AI strategy, and next-gen Payments—ensuring that foundational technical investments are seamlessly mapped to long-term enterprise growth and customer value.
  • Lead high-velocity strategy sprints to identify net-new growth vectors to rapidly scale the retail banking footprint.
  • Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
  • Build rigorous economic models and valuation analysis to quantify product bets, ensuring every initiative drives clear ROI and customer lifetime value.
  • Serve as the "connective tissue" between Product, Tech, Business and Design to translate complex business intent and technical constraints into clear and tangible strategic roadmaps.
  • Lead "0-to-1" strategy sprints and lean experiments to validate customer needs and strategic growth opportunities in the banking ecosystem.
  • A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytic marketing; credit risk management.
  • Ability to build and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise. They should foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and be able to consistently deliver results.
  • Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • An intuitive understanding of what makes a digital product "sticky" and a passion for simplifying complex financial lives.
  • The ability to jump from a high-level 30,000-foot strategy to a 5-foot deep dive into data or tech constraints without losing momentum.
  • A master of "leading by influence."
  • Comfortable taking a vague problem statement and turning it into a strategic product vision.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
  • At least 4 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
  • At least 2 years of experience performing people management
  • At least 2 years of experience performing project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services
  • 1+ year of experience in consulting
