Senior Manager, Product Management - Growth
For over 20 years, we've been on a mission to change banking for good and build relationships by making credit accessible, simple, intuitive and rewarding. We want to help Canadians succeed with credit, because we believe in people — in our customers, in our associates, and in talent like you!
About the Team
Group Product Managers in Growth are strategic thinkers and dedicated problem-solvers who lead and mentor a team of Product Managers to leverage big data, agile principles, and customer insights to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention at scale. You will re-imagine the way people interact with money across a portfolio of products – creating experiences that simplify and enhance our customers' lives while delivering measurable business growth.
Here are a few examples of how Group Product Managers and their teams create customer value that directly accelerates our growth at Capital One.
- Defining the strategy for our application funnel to maximize conversion and optimize acquisition across our credit card products
- Driving the strategy for Quick Check, our credit card eligibility tool, to maximize its presence across customer channels and give more Canadians the confidence to apply without rejection
- Overseeing a portfolio of products dedicated to deepening customer engagement, such as launching and optimizing credit monitoring tools to drive engagement and long-term financial health
- Managing and scaling data and machine learning platforms across the organization to deliver smart, personalized experiences
Your Responsibilities:
As a Group Product Manager and a People Leader, you'll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas, while providing strategic direction and coaching to a team of Product Managers:
We Want You If You Are:
- Intellectually curious. You ask why, you explore and you're not afraid to blurt out your crazy idea. Comfortable with ambiguity, a hunger to learn and a seeker of new challenges
- A communicator & influencer. You can communicate complex ideas clearly regardless of your audience. Your team knows their priorities and why they're doing what they're doing. You can always rally associates to work with you
- A do-er. You're biased toward action, you try things and sometimes you fail. You can get around roadblocks and stay focused on your goals. You're well organized, able to multitask and able to prioritize your work
- Passionate & customer focused. You care about growing others and bringing them together around what's possible. You get a thrill from the journey of building and shipping products, and you have a desire and ability to connect with our external or internal customers to fully understand their needs
- A learner. You have an appetite to learn new things or new technologies all while exhibiting humbleness when the time comes to ask for help
- A team player. You enjoy working with diverse people and driving the team toward a common goal. You have the ability to put the team before yourself and establish long-lasting relationships
- Strategic and detail oriented. You can operate at both the strategic and execution levels. You can zoom out to a 10,000-ft view while also diving into details when needed
