Account Executive
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our Carbon Products team. At CarbonCure, we are a full-service technology and carbon credit project developer with a proven track record of successfully selling high-quality credits to prominent buyers. In this role, you will play a vital part in crafting and executing impactful sales plans, forging strong relationships with new and existing clients, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the business and surpassing revenue targets. We are looking for a passionate and innovative sales professional with experience in climate, sustainability, carbon markets, or adjacent sectors to help drive this essential initiative and grow together with CarbonCure. This is a remote position, with the ideal candidate located in Canada or the US.
What you'll be doing
- Contribute to and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve or exceed annual carbon credit sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients across diverse industries and stakeholder groups, including sustainability, procurement, and executive stakeholders within enterprise organizations.
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through market research, lead generation and networking.
- Conduct compelling sales presentations that effectively communicate the value proposition of our carbon credit offering.
- Own the full sales cycle, including pipeline management, negotiation, and closing complex, consultative carbon transactions and partnerships.
- Stay informed on carbon market trends, sustainability frameworks, and emerging industry developments to strengthen product-market fit and commercial strategy.
- Analyze pipeline performance and develop strategies to optimize conversion rates.
- Collaborate with marketing, technology sales, customer success and other departments to ensure a cohesive sales and marketing strategy that reinforces CarbonCure's core value proposition.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and events.
- Travel 20% of the time.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within voluntary carbon markets, climate technology, carbon removal, sustainability solutions, or adjacent climate sectors.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
- Familiarity with carbon markets, including familiarity with climate ecosystem stakeholders, and emerging standards/frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience successfully selling into large, complex enterprise buyers, including sustainability, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Experience simplifying complex sustainability, climate, or technical concepts for diverse audiences and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to build strong relationships and rapport with clients at all levels, leaning on consultative selling principles and translating customer insights into product and market feedback.
- Data-driven approach to sales and commitment to diligently using CRM software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Tenacity, creativity and the ability to forge ahead in a rapidly scaling, evolving and high-demand environment.
