Senior Performance Marketing Manager

CarOnSale is a rapidly growing B2B marketplace that digitizes and revolutionizes vehicle trading for dealers. As Senior Performance Marketing Manager, you will be the strategic and operational lead of our marketing activities in the areas of paid and organic acquisition as well as conversion rate optimization. You will be responsible for the entire performance marketing funnel, from campaign development and execution to comprehensive testing and reporting. With a structured, experimentation-driven approach, you will drive efficient and scalable growth.

You will work closely with the product, sales, and analytics teams to ensure that our paid marketing investments are optimized in terms of both volume and quality and that our digital customer journeys achieve best-in-class conversion rates. This role is ideal for a data-driven marketer who loves responsibility and is convinced by experimentation and results.

Your Tasks

  • Overall responsibility for the growth marketing at CarOnSale: Steering and prioritizing investments in marketing channels and initiatives (focus areas Paid, SEO, CRO, Influencer Marketing etc.)
  • Development and implementation of strategies to achieve our growth goals in over 10 markets and in the respective channels
  • Analysis and reporting of performance marketing KPIs, derivation of actionable recommendations for the optimization of CAC, ROAS, and LTV
  • Close collaboration with product, sales, and analytics teams to coordinate ICP, messaging, and user experience along the funnel
  • Evaluation and management of external agencies and service providers based on defined KPIs
  • Initiatives and measures to promote growth may include the following areas:
    • Control of all paid acquisition channels (search, paid social, display, retargeting etc.) including strategy, implementation, optimization, and budget management
    • Building and conducting a comprehensive CRO program with A/B tests and funnel experiments to maximize conversion rates on landing pages and digital customer journeys
    • Establishing a structured, experiment-driven process for campaign and CRO initiatives (hypothesis development, test design, measurement, iteration)
    • Further development of content marketing activities with a focus on SEO and AI-based ranking optimization

What You Can Expect After 90 Days

  • You have understood our complete marketing setup and independently manage agencies as well as internal stakeholders
  • You independently identify strategic problem areas and growth levers and are actively involved in their prioritization and implementation
  • You are the subject matter expert for our junior marketing managers and are building a team in the long term
  • You lead the strategic expansion and internationalization of our marketing

What You Bring With You

  • At least 3 years of experience in a strategic marketing role, ideally in the B2B or marketplace environment
  • Excellent project management skills and experience in managing multiple initiatives and stakeholders
  • Proven analytical skills, proficient use of Excel/Google Sheets, and experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Looker, or Tableau
  • Proven track record in managing and scaling paid media campaigns across various channels (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, Programmatic etc.)
  • Practical experience with conversion rate optimization, A/B testing tools (e.g. Optimizely, VWO), funnel analysis, and landing page optimization
  • Deep understanding of attribution, tracking, and marketing measurement methods
  • Structured, hypothesis-driven working method with a strong focus on experimentation and learning
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Experience in managing agencies or external partners is an advantage
  • Completed degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Marketing, Business Administration, Analytics, or a related field
