Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a talented and passionate Gameplay Designer (Systems) to join our team and help us develop a new game in the Witcher Saga! If you are ready to take on such a challenge, don't hesitate and apply! Daily Responsibilities:

  • Proposing and documenting an innovative design for systems and features that follow the game direction.
  • Iterating and improving documentation for existing systems and features.
  • Designing, prototyping, scripting, and iterating on features using Unreal Engine 5.
  • Working in multidisciplinary teams on prototyping and implementing stages, ensuring that the gameplay functionality, in-game systems, as well as the overall gameplay experience are carried through to completion in the highest possible quality.
  • Taking ownership of specific features/systems of the game.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the game industry.
  • Proven success in creating compelling and innovative gameplay systems in an Open-World AAA game.
  • Experience in working with Unreal Engine 5 - prototyping, implementation, and iteration.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills - ability to work closely with engineers, designers, and content teams.
  • Experience in playing and analyzing games, movies, and other forms of entertainment to understand what makes something intuitive, fun, and engaging.
  • Openness to receiving and giving feedback about your work.
  • Creating design documentation for use by different disciplines and teams.
  • Self-critical approach and passion towards high-quality solutions.
  • Passion for Action Games is a definite plus.
  • Openness for changes & experimentation and a good sense of humor are appreciated!

Working mode:

  • Remote/Hybrid. For this role, you can choose to work from one of our offices located in Warsaw, Krakow, or Wroclaw.
