Join a cutting-edge research project at the intersection of AI and materials science, addressing real-world challenges in thermal management for high-performance computing and 6G infrastructure.
We offer: (1) You will develop marketable skills in AI, ML, and materials informatics, (2) engage in industrial collaborations and advance your academic career through exposure to cutting-edge research and innovation, (3) and all of the above takes place in Sweden, a country renowned for its high quality of life, inclusive research culture, and global leadership in science and technology.
The rise in computational power demands advanced thermal materials compatible with liquid cooling and immersion systems. This PhD project, part of a national initiative, aims to use AI to design and optimize thermal interface materials (TIMs). It combines machine learning, materials informatics, and experiments to discover materials with tailored thermal properties. Partners include Chalmers, RISE, and Smart High Tech AB.
* For students with an education earned outside of Sweden, a 4-year Bachelor’s degree is accepted.
