Marketing Manager
The role is for a strategic and results-driven marketing leader to lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies for the retail fuels and lubricants business in Australia. This role offers the opportunity to shape market growth, strengthen brand equity, and drive measurable business outcomes in a dynamic and competitive environment.
The Marketing Manager will work in close partnership with country business and cross-functional leaders and regional marketing teams to deliver business priorities, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategies and contributing to sustained earnings growth and value delivery.
The role also oversees marketing operational excellence, compliance, budget and brand stewardship to ensure disciplined and effective execution.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Lead the development and implementation of integrated marketing plans across brand, products, and channels
- Champion a data-driven and customer-centric approach across brand, product, and channel marketing initiatives
- Drive excellence in execution of retail and loyalty programs, distributor marketing programs, partnerships, customer campaigns and communications across effective marketing channels
- Ensure consistent, high-quality and compliant brand execution across all customer touchpoints
Team Leadership
- Lead and coach an in-country marketing team that is accountable for timely and consistent quality deliverables
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Performance & ROI Management
- Manage and optimize marketing spend to deliver measurable outcomes and strong return on investment that align with business priorities
- Establish and track performance metrics, ensuring alignment with business targets
- Prioritize marketing initiatives and allocate resources to maximize impact
Cross-Functional & Regional Collaboration
- Partner closely with country stakeholders and regional teams to align on priorities and drive performance outcomes
- Leverage data, research, and insights to support decision making and prioritization
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance business materiality and earnings delivery
Operational Excellence & Governance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain strong discipline in budget management and brand stewardship
- Uphold operational standards across all marketing activities

Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business/ Marketing/ Communications
- Strong track record of more than 10 years' experience in Marketing, Communications and/or related experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a team supervisory role, with a strong focus on performance and collaboration.
- Demonstrated experience in leading marketing strategy and execution, preferably in a complex or multi-channel environment. Having retail, consumer and/or B2B marketing experience in relevant or similar industry is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of brand, customer, and channel marketing, including digital
- Proven ability to deliver business outcomes and manage marketing investments effectively
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to understand commercial numbers and leverage data and insights to inform decisions
- Understand AU Advertising and Marketing laws and expectations
