Marketing Project Manager I

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree (Business, Communications) or equivalent relevant experience (required).
  • Have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in marketing project management. Prefer health care experience, and/or work in a regulated industry.
  • Have experience in Medicaid and Medicare managed care insurance products (preferred).
  • Possess project management experience with strong organizational skills.
  • Are proficient in all main Microsoft Office applications, i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as SmartSheets.

Essential functions and roles and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating the assembly of project team(s), assigning responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of the project, as required based on the scope of the project/initiative.
  • Participates in Marketing project kickoff meetings reviewing Creative Briefs to confirm project definition and deliverables are clear for the Creative Team.
  • Leverage Project Management software to effectively schedule, track work items and forecast project team's time.
  • Responsible for leading and managing cross-functional and organizational projects to deliver results within the authorized budget and by agreed upon deadlines.
  • Meets quality standards and the production of expected deliverables during all phases of the project life cycle: initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing.
  • Communicate regularly with Product Marketing Managers, Executive Sponsors, and other project stakeholders to appraise all regarding status of the project, issues impeding progress, and recovery plans for off-track items/tasks.
  • Tracks and routes materials for internal review and approval, including review by Marketing Compliance Specialist.
  • Provides leadership to clear barriers to project/initiative progress, ensures that project deliverables stay on stated strategy, resolves conflicts, and ensures that project goals, schedule and staff assignments are realistic, achievable, and proactively managed. Escalates conflicts to Manager if necessary for conflict resolution.
  • Supports maintaining and improving the performance, productivity and efficiency of departmental operations.
  • Looks for opportunities to improve marketing operational processes and resources.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Knowledge of project management best practices and formal project management methodologies.
  • Ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail while maintaining the ability to track macro level project components.
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.

Compensation and Benefits:

The position is FLSA Exempt and is not eligible for overtime. Based on market data, this position grade is 66 and has a 10% annual incentive target based on company, department, and individual performance goals. Salary determined at offer will be based on labor market data and a candidate's years of relevant work experience and skills relevant to the position.

Sensory/Physical/Mental Requirements:

Sensory:

  • Speaking, hearing, near vision, far vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, touch, smell, and balance.

Physical:

  • Extended periods of sitting, computer use, talking and possibly standing.
  • Simple grasp, firm grasp, fine manipulation, pinch, finger dexterity, supination/pronation, wrist flexion.
  • Frequent torso/back static position; occasional stooping, bending, and twisting.
  • Some kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying (not over 25 pounds), twisting, and reaching.

Mental:

  • Frequent decision-making. Ability to gather and assess data, determine appropriate actions, apply protocols and knowledge to unique situations, problem-solve and provide consultation.

Work Environment:

Office environment Employees who frequently work in front of computer monitors are at risk for environmental exposure to low-grade radiation.
