Facilities Designer

This role is responsible for the design support of facilities projects for Cirrus Aircraft, ensuring that it meets safety standards, cost-effectiveness, environmental regulations, and branding standards.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Design support for the major components of facilities construction projects.
  • Produce programming documents, drawing packages, renderings, and owner specifications for facilities, program managers and external contractors in accordance with ASV Detailing Department Standards.
  • Provide support for feasibility studies, master planning concepts and schedules for construction projects.
  • Provide collaboration support with internal stakeholder teams to capture project requirements and objectives.
  • Update and archive internal facilities as-builts and documents for future reference.
  • Support creation/updates to corporate facilities design standards and workplace strategies documents.
  • Support creation/updates to facilities maps.
  • Provide presentation support for construction project updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Facilities Architect, Program Managers, and facilities team on multiple projects.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • Travel requirements estimated at 25%, including the need to travel to various Cirrus locations.
  • Company vehicle driving requirements estimated at 10%; must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's / Professional degree in architecture, interior design, or a related field. Licenses or certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in the field of architecture, interior design or related field.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, BIM, Adobe Suite and rendering software.
  • Literacy in reviewing Construction Documents and affiliated construction project documents.
  • Innovative & thinking outside the box required.
  • Learn new technologies and systems as required.
  • Ability to work and interact with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and skillsets.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
